Transition to new owners
From February 2018 the ownership of Roundwood Shooting School passed from Brian Hebditch to the management partnership of Andy Shore, Bob Bailey and Dave Hughes. They continue to provide instruction and practice facilities for English Sporting, FITASC, novices, and to the experienced game shot. The shooting school will also host corporate entertainment for clients and for charitable events.
Chas Davis is the Chief Instructor. He has instructed at the shooting school for over 18 years, and is well known within the game shooting field.
Competitive Shooting Practice & Tuition
With over 50 traps and several towers, the highest being over 150 feet high, these provide for targets of variable levels of difficulty from those for the novice shooter, to those challenging targets for the GB competitor or serious game shot.
The shooting school provides a range of services from one to one tuition, groups or parties, as well as corporate days.
All clients are accompanied by an instructor within the shooting areas.
With the rapid growth of interest in FITASC clay shooting, we offer competitive practice for typically six people per squad over the morning or afternoon. We can accommodate a maximum of three squads shooting simultaneously.
Similarly, English Sporting groups can be accommodated with a maximum of three groups shooting simultaneously.
Interest in regular weekly or monthly squad or group practice has grown rapidly. If you have a friendly team of guns interested in regular practice we would recommend that you arrange and book your regular shooting sessions well ahead.
We provide the very best tuition for the novice shooter who has never shot before, to the experienced clay or game shot who may need some professional guidance to bag that bird that got away.
Bookings & Enquiries
The shooting school is open Monday to Friday. In the winter months 9 am to 4 pm and in the summer months 8:30 am to 5 pm.
Bookings are always required.
